week 31

"This week, your baby measures about 16 inches long. He weighs a little over 3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy."

This has certainly felt true! I read somewhere else in the emails I get that our little guy is going through a growth spurt right now. Man! I can really feel it! It seems like some days the belly is more than a bump; it is sticking out there pretty far at times, and a bit sore occasionally too.

Not much going on here right now. The weather is starting to cool down consistently, and it is beautiful. I am kinda going through either fall fever, or nesting. I'm not totally sure right now. I feel like cooking up a storm, that is until I get started and my energy runs out at an amazingly fast rate. I think I need to trade my batteries in for some Energizers. I must have the store brand right now!

Our Dr's appointments have been going really well. My blood pressure has been good, and at my last apt I had gained a total of 4lbs throughout the pregnancy. I think I have still been having a bit of trouble with the anemia. Seems like I can't get my iron intake just right, but overall we are feeling so blessed that everything has gone so well with this pregnancy. The anemia doesn't affect the baby in the same way it does the mama, so we are thankful for that too. It has been so amazing, and such a cool experience to have my little one with me all the time, growing inside of me. He is SUPER active, so I get to feel him quite a lot during the day (and night!). The way God created us is overwhelming to me at times. What a way to populate the earth.

Well, that is pretty much it for now. Have a great day!
