Mother's Day
10:22 PM
Mother's Day. Wow. Right now I am speechless and overwhelmed by the blessings in my life. I am pretty sure I have the greatest mother, husband, and baby.
I am so grateful for my Mom. She has taken her job so seriously to instill in us the value and beauty of being a mother and she has been with us through thick and thin. I am thankful that she was willing to be my parent, not just my friend. Because of her commitment to raise me with morals, honesty, and integrity, our relationship has bloomed into a great friendship now. I am so thankful for my mom.
I am so grateful that God has allowed me to be a Mom. T was a miracle that A and I hoped for, prayed for, and waited for so long for. The wait was worth it.
I am so grateful for Anthony. Sorry ladies; I think I took the best man in the whole world.
I am so grateful for A's mama. She really trained him right.
You have A to thank for this blog post. He has made this day everything I could have imagined. T and I have been sick with a cold and didn't go to church this morning, so A let me sleep in while he got up with T. Now, that alone would have been amazing, but he didn't stop there.
A little while later, A came in with breakfast. in. bed. He made an egg, toast, fresh coffee, a special treat, and the sweetest, most beautiful card. This is even more special since I know how much he does not like to cook.
Breakfast was amazing, but really nothing compared to lunch. Last night he had gone to the store and picked up everything for a special dinner. T is always really tired after church on Sundays and going out to eat is really hard. I had asked A to get something fast for lunch that I wouldn't have to cook. I was expecting frozen pizza, or if I was really lucky, maybe lasagna. When A started making cheesy hashbrown casserole I was completely surprised. I didn't even need to tell him where to find the recipe or anything. He purchased all the ingredients and mixed everything up, all the while encouraging me to relax.
Then, he pulled out the big guns. Bacon wrapped sirloin, grilled to perfection. To top it all off, he got me some Cherry Pepsi! My favorite. I haven't been trying not to buy pop lately, so it was quite a treat.
He rented a couple of movies for me, went on a walk with me, and encouraged me to relax because he had it all covered! He was so attentive.
I could never ask for more. I am so grateful.
Because of A's sweet attentiveness today, there will be blog posts all week! I have been so far behind that it is certainly time to catch up. Hope you enjoy!
