As I think about our country this year, I have had a hard time knowing what to do this Independence Day. I feel that right now our country is losing a tremendous amount of Freedom both financially and religiously. I feel like it is important to think about the true reason for our freedom and the reason we are able to "celebrate" by going to the lake or for a picnic in the park.

Today I want it to be more than a vacation day, so the best I could come up with is to write a soldier. I don't have the address for more than 1 - my baby brother.

He isn't overseas, but he has committed the next few years of his life to serve our country. He is in ATI right now. A couple days ago he called me and sounded very lonely. He said this was way worse that boot camp!

Consider sending him a card or letter, or maybe a little treat to encourage him. I know he would appreciate it greatly.
