starting the nursery

10:13 PM

I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. Here we are at the beginning of yet another week. This last week has been really busy, but good as well. On Friday my mom came down to start painting the nursery, and my friend Alissa came over to help. Here are a few pictures of them so you can visualize the project.

There is much more to do (as you can see) before the project is complete, but at least we have a start! For those of you who are wondering, I did decide to use the brighter colors, so we still have the dark blue and red to paint (similar to the last picture from the earlier blog.) I think I am really going to like it. I am just so anxious to have it all done and put together.

I am noticing that as we get closer to our due date that we are seemingly making the most of our time to visit with people we haven't seen for a while, exercise, have company over, go on special outings, organize around the house, work on special projects, and in general spend time relaxing with each other. This weekend we reconnected with some friends of ours that we don't see often, but always enjoy tremendously when we do. It is amazing to me how often we find that with fellow believers it can be ages since we have gotten together, but we always still have a lot in common. Thanks Phillip and Kimberly for making our weekend so enjoyable!

This week I went with JoAnn to "the garage sale" in Arlington. It was unbelievable! For those of you who have never gone, check it out next year. I have never seen anything like it. The sale was pretty overwhelming to me in general, but my favorite find was these little ceramic baby booties. Aren't they cute!

The next week promises to be another busy, but fun week. For those of you who have been asking, Anthony and I will attempt to register this week. :-) I'll let you know if we get it accomplished.

Well, I told Anthony an hour ago that I was headed right to bed, so sweet dreams for now.
