Watch Me Grow! Month 4
2:05 PM
Yep, it's that time again. I know you are all thinking (as am I!) that Tucker just turned 3 months old yesterday, but alas, we are wrong. The little peanut is growing like a weed! He has been doing all kinds of fun things lately. He is smiling a ton these days, and gets really excited about playing with Daddy. To compare his pictures from last month, click here.
Not only is Tucker growing like a weed, but so is his hair!At his Dr.'s appointment he weighed 15 lbs (75th percentile) and was 26 1/4 inches tall (90th percentile).
Growth like that has shaken mommy's world a bit. The biggest change is that he is too long for his infant car seat. Moving up to the next stage was a very sad day at our house. No more strapping him in the seat and running errands by just unhooking the seat. Now we have to buckle in for every little stop we make. Another challenge to this is that T doesn't sit up on his own yet, so we can't just set him in the cart at the grocery store. If you have any ideas on how to resolve this one, let me know! I think we will probably just keep our infant seat in the trunk for use when shopping, dining out when friends, etc.Another big change is that T is too big for his bassinet, so he is now sleeping in his crib. He has been quite a trooper with this and has made the change amazingly well, but it has been a bit harder on me. I can't believe how much more I wake up while walking to the nursery than I did when I could just reach over and pick him up to eat. I highly recommend a bassinet to any new mom!
Guess who stayed with us last week. You guessed it. Little Brad LOVES Tucker and can hardly get enough oh him. I have to be pretty careful, because sometimes I think Brad likes T a little too much! He loves to play with an entertain Tucker. Here he crawled in the crib to hang out.
When I was taking T's pictures, Little Brad thought he would like to participate in that as well. Here is the one he took.
It is always fun to have Little Brad around. One thing we noticed though is that he likes to put T in "time out." One afternoon T was in his little car and Brad pushed him in the corner and told us that he had been a naughty boy. The other time he was in his Bumbo seat and Brad set the timer for him. I think Brad is excited that he finally has someone lower than him in the pecking order!
Well, I have lots more to post, but I had better sign off for now!
