as much as the very thought of it at times makes me want to sit in a corner and cry for my mommy, it is VBS time again.

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School and is a week of stories, games, crafts, snacks and fun every day for a week, sponsored by local churches. It is really a great, fun time, but quite a bit of effort to pull off. Two words come to mind -- exciting insanity.

Tonight as we were traveling I was looking through my Family Fun magazine (great ideas for things to do as a family) and found these Retro crafts. It got me to thinking about putting together a retro themed VBS all about (of course) REMEMBERING the past and what God has done. If you have any additional craft ideas or links, let me know.

STORIES:
The Lord's Supper (Do this in Remembrance)
Israelites: Stones of Remembrance -- and many other stories
Noah and the Rainbow (Remembering God's Promises)

on a slightly different string, you could use the verse where about the old is passed away; behold all things are become new.

SONGS:
To God be the Glory (great things He has done)

SNACKS:
All I found for snacks so far is this recipe and this recipe. Yummy!

GAMES:
I have NO IDEAS for this so far. Anyone?

SKITS:
I got nothin'
