A Mary Poppins sort of Day - Practically Perfect in Every Way
1:30 PMThis weekend was one of those rare opportunities when we didn't have a tremendous amount of stuff going on. It was wonderful!
On Friday night my friend, Alissa, was at our house. Her roommate, Sherry, is working as a wrangler at the Boy Scout Camp just 3 miles or so from our place. Sherry hooked us up with a trailride. It was so enjoyable. We rode up on the ridge and watched the deer graze as the sun was setting. Anthony loves horses (had his own growing up) and it was great to be able to watch him enjoy getting out and riding again. This also was the first opportunity for us to ride together. Hopefully we will have many more opportunities.Saturday I worked freelance for the first time since T was born. It was fun getting back into it. When I got home T was so happy to see me. He just kept giving me more and more kisses. So sweet! He was in the good and capable hands of Alissa while both A and I were working. All seemed to go well.
When I got home after work A and I just enjoyed the day at home. I worked out in the yard potting my flower baskets and weeding the flowers. It started raining that warm summer rain that you can dance in. It was great.
One of the more humorous moments was when our neighbor (some of you have seen him and can truly appreciate this) was chatting up a storm with me while I was working in the flower beds. A was on the porch and when I walked by he made sure to remind me the HE was my EYE CANDY! If only you could have seen my other eye candy alternative!!!!!! I am hoping to someday get a picture to post. Although, I am not sure the internet it really ready for that!
